Days 3 and 4: Colorado

Introducing Mr. Plum, who accompanied us on our train ride. He wanted to see the grand scenery so he hitched a ride with us.

We arrived in Colorado Oct. 3rd and were greeted by Ron and Lauri Miller at the Grand Junction Station.

Lauri and I have known each other since 1967, having grown up next door to each other in Glen Burnie, MD. Ron and Lauri are being excellent hosts, showing us God's glorious creation in the western sections of the state. They live in a little town called Parachute, which is near Aspen. The mountains with the fall colors are spectacular. No picture could do it justice.

Today Ron drove us up a winding mountain road at elevations of around 8,000 feet. We found some fossils in the rocky slate. Could they have been formed during the Great Flood? I wonder...
