Christmas Tree Kitten

The glow of the tree makes Abigail look so sweet. Later on, though, she tried to climb the tree and knock off some ornaments. She just can't help herself - she's still a kitten.

Things are Lookin' Up

Even young felines enjoy the lovely autumn colors. They love the leaves blowing in the wind.  Lydia is now 10 lbs. and Abigail is a petite 8 lbs.

Our new kittens!

We our happy to announce that we got a couple 8-week old kittens from the SPCA on June 11, 2009, almost exactly two months after we lost our Sheba. (They were born the weekend Sheba died.) The one on the left is Lydia; the one on the right is Abigail. They are having fun chasing each other around their new home! Such fun! I don't think anyone here slept much the first night. Though they look very much alike, we are able to tell them apart after a few days of observing their different markings and personalities. So much sweetness in little balls of fur.

more animals

I just love animals. God sure has made some cute ones! Like little goslings. And kittens that smile. And deer that come up to your car and greet you in person! That was a special surprise.

a sad Easter for us

Today God took our Sheba home while Bret was at work and I was at my sister's for Easter dinner. She'd been ailing for some time and we knew the end was near. We loved the dear kitty so much and she will be greatly missed. I prayed for her this morning that God would send beautiful cat angels to take her home. Maybe he did!

A salute to my father's work

Here's a 3-minute video I made for a college project. It's about my father's work as an aerial photographer and his love of flying and parachutes.

Deer in my Backyard

I saw this duo out of the back window and quickly grabbed my camera. What a rare treat! Two beautiful deer walking around in the woods amidst condo buildings, a major highway, a hospital center, etc. This made my day.
